Inspection Reports

When an inspection is carried out there is a six point grading scale. Each of the Quality Themes that are inspected, are graded using the following scale: Inspectors can choose from six grades: Unsatisfactory, Weak, Adequate, Good, Very Good and Excellent

Villa Kindergarten was given a Grade 5 (VERY GOOD) for all areas inspected by the Care Inspectorate.

Some comments from HMIE Inspection and Care Inspectorate Inspection are as follows:-

The very good range of experiences for children both in the playrooms and outdoors.

The encouraging, supportive ethos in the playrooms and the positive relationships between children and staff.

The very good progress children were making in their learning.

The steps taken by the nursery to promote and ensure a strong sense of equality and fairness.

The enthusiasm and commitment of the manager.

Staff were warm and friendly which helped to create a welcoming environment. 

All staff work well as a team and complimented each others skills and experiences. 

Low staff turnover helps to maintain a stable staff team.

The manager and staff ask children and parents about the service. Their views are welcomed and listened to and are used to make improvements.
